Thank you for your interest in writing for Public Parks.
“Policy and science from the world’s public lands and waterways” is more than just a tagline. The aim is to, over time, develop a clearer sense for how public parks are threatened, what management strategies work, and how conservation approaches in various jurisdictions dovetail or differ.
If this interests you, then we welcome your input. Don’t worry if you feel your prose may not be all that great—we can fix that. We will accept work from all over the world and from non-native English speakers. But we do have rules that our contributors must follow:
Number 1: No activists.
They can be fine advocates, but they’re usually terrible journalists.
Number 2: No politics.
Policy is great, but avoid politics. We are non-partisan and know that no single political persuasion holds a monopoly on the truth.
